Extension and Renovation

The brief was to remove the existing 'lean to' kitchen and meals area at the rear of their california bungalow. This was to be replaced with a new, open plan kitchen / living area and a unique outdoor living area that would be sympathetic towards the retained period style house.

The Retention and renovation of the existing garage to the rear created a fixed envelope to the house for positioning the required living spaces. This renovation invited the opportunity to open the garage onto the outdoor living area, creating the potential for further entertaining space.

A modern kitchen, meals and living area created a comfortable space to live within whilst retaining the homes existing character. The large, light filled outdoor living area with attached garage space brings the design up to todays living needs, thoroughly enjoyed by our clients.

Seamlessly connecting new with old has successfully produced an exquisite modern example of the perfect californian bungalow. Todays living requirements have been effectively incorporated into a classic exterior, creating a harmonious living environment. Incorporation of a multi purpose attic room economically within the trusses adds a separate intriguing space.
